Communications #
Emails received are reviewed by one staff member, sent onwards when necessary to other staff members, and deleted as quickly as possible. We do not disclose the names of senders to others outside of Rodney Lab, i.e. third parties, without your permission. We use email service providers in the UK. As a result our emails are susceptible to lawful access in the UK, and possibly through unlawful means by the UK Government and by other governments and entities. We select our service providers on the basis of their privacy awareness. We administer a mailing service for notifications by email based on interest in topics that you have explicitly indicated to us. Payment #
For credit and debit card payments we use Stripe. You can expect Stripe to log payment details. As a customer of their services, this entity would allow us to request this information if we chose to do so. Some data must be kept for the statutory retention period described in applicable laws. If not required by law, the data will be stored for no longer than necessary for the purpose. After the periods, the data will be permanently deleted.
How Long we Retain your Data #
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What Rights you Have over Your Data #
